A big part of student life is studying and YUSU is here to effectively represent your academic interests. One of the ways we do this is by supporting the Academic Representation Network to improve your learning and teaching experience and make sure you get the most out of your degree.
You can find your Reps using our directory.
Course Reps are students who are elected by their class mates to effectively represent their academic interests to the University. Course Reps play a major role in improving the academic experience for students by collecting feedback and resolving any programme specific queries. There are over 400 Course Rep roles available covering both undergraduate and postgraduate courses.
If you have any queries, problems or any positive feedback relating to your course, then speak to your Course Rep! They are here to help and take any issues or ideas to department staff.
Academic Reps play a major role in developing a better university for students, and we want to acknowledge the fantastic work they achieve.
Student Voice will be presenting awards for Course Rep of the term as well as an end of year awards ceremony in recognition of their outstanding contribution.

Department Reps are students who support and lead the team of Course Reps in your department and help to improve the student experience. Department Reps are invaluable contacts for both departments and YUSU to make sure student views are being listened to and acted upon.
Each Faculty has an elected undergraduate student rep. Faculty Reps work behind the scenes, sitting on University-level committees such as Faculty Boards and Senate, representing all students within their Faculty. They champion student feedback and create large scale positive changes. They deliver projects based on their manifesto.
