Implementation of an actual safety net

  • 11/01/2021 - Archived

The recent so-called "safety net" implemented by the university does not adequately protect students during a global pandemic. I advocate for a no detriment policy to protect second and third-year students and reflect their past achievements and safeguard their mental and physical health. Furthermore, first year students assessments should imply an automatic pass to ensure their progression into second year. I admit this proposal is far from perfect but I believe is better than the current arrangements.
