Online Training

Below is a list of online training modules all students can complete.

Please note: if you have been instructed to complete the training module as part of your committee ratification or training, make sure you fill in the completion form.


Student Group Signatory Training

Society signatories indicated to us that the training they received when starting their roles was not sufficient, so we have launched an online course for society committee members. The course is desigend to equip signatories with all the key knowledge they need to effectively manage their group.

The course consists of five modules, covering the following topics:

  • Working with YUSU
    Includes: the relationshp between YUSU and ratified groups, key contacts, and how Societies Committee and Media Committee operate.
     
  • Communications
    Includes: The Member Dashboard, communicating with your members, data protection, and making comms accessible.
     
  • Finance Processes
    Includes: Student group finance processes, grant funding, obtaining sponsorship, and fundraising for charity.
     
  • Events and Activities
    Includes: Event planning, room bookings, health and safety, and marketing.
     
  • Committee Management and Welfare
    Includes: Leading a committee, conflict management tips, compliants and dsciplinary procedures, and how to support members' welfare.
