The Trustee Board is the highest decision-making body of YUSU. Its role is to provide strategic direction and oversee the work of YUSU in advancing the education of students at the University of York.
The governance of YUSU as a student-led organisation and registered charity is exciting, challenging and critically important to our work. Alongside our sabbatical officers and external trustees, student trustees play a vital role in bringing knowledge, insight and ideas to the Board. The role of student trustees has never been more important as we navigate the impact of Covid-19, balancing the immediate needs of students with our wider strategic development.
The significance of the role was reflected in the fact that we had 4 strong candidates put themselves forward for election. Voting was held between 19-23rd June and 329 votes were cast.
