Background

Durham

Durham University is home to one of the largest and most diverse intra-mural sports programmes in the world. The college structure allows huge opportunity for students from all 16 colleges to get involved across 18 different sports. The diversity of the programme we have on offer has led to 85% of Durham University students being involved in sport as either a participant, official or coach. Our college sport structure brings together students and staff alike forming over 800 teams across the University. The programme aims to promote a healthy, active lifestyle as well as presenting opportunities to socialise, develop confidence and communication skills, and feel a sense of belonging.

York

The University of York is home to 9 colleges who compete throughout the year across 14 sports within a diverse intra-mural sports platform. Students are involved in college sports as players, coaches and officials, forming over 100 teams across the university.
