We are one of the largest sports clubs at the University of York with around 80 members. We train almost everyday at the York Sport Village on the Heslington East campus. Our swimming team is competitively-focused, although we also offer a 'Swimming for Fitness' membership option for non-competitive swimmers as well.
We have both men's and women's water polo teams and we welcome players of all abilities down to training. We have loads to get involved with throughout the year, including competitions, matches, open water swims, socials and tour.

Get Involved
We are one of the largest sports clubs at the University of York with around 80 members. We train at the York Sport Village on Heslington East Campus and at Archbishop Holgate School in Badger Hill.
We have both a competitive swimming squad and a 'Swimming for Fitness' membership option for non-competitive swimmers as well. Swimming for Fitness is open to everyone and we really recommend it as a great way to keep fit and healthy whilst also being welcomed into a really social club.
The competitive swim squad is aimed at those who have trained and competed with clubs back home prior to university. The squad trains 6 times a week and competes in three BUCS tournaments a year, a couple of friendly galas against other northern universities and Roses at the end of the year against Lancaster.
We also have both men's and women's water polo teams and we welcome players of all abilities down to training. Most people who join water polo have never played before university and is a great opportunity to take up a new team sport. The teams play matches regularly through the year and they train 4 times a week.
This club has lots to offer you from two different sports from beginner to competitive level, to a vibrant social calendar. We are a very welcoming and supportive club, and would love to hear from any of you interested in joining!
