About Supporting Women in Science
Welcome to Supporting Women in Science. SWIS is a pro-active student-focused society passionate about improving opportunities for women in science, developing fundamental skills and creating a community, encouraging women to excel in STEM.
This academic year, we will hold bi-weekly discussions online (or in-person if we can - depending on COVID), with talks from academics and industry along with workshops to develop skills and a bi-weekly email highlighting opportunities to develop your CV. We will also pair up with charities to make an impact on the wider community, promoting equality.
The society focuses on creating a community and networking at the university and everyone is welcome to come along.
We look forward to meeting you all!
