About Student Co-Operative (Scoop)
We are a student run not-for-profit co-operative shop in the University of York. Our mission is to provide ethical and local goods to our members on a student budget, largely without plastic. We sell our products at almost the price we buy them, which means that in some cases they can be five times cheaper than you'll find in a supermarket!
Our shop can be found in Wentworth College (near the Environment department), room W/02. To get there we recommend using google maps or the campus map. Bring your own containers to fill or use our donated ones!
- Our products include:
- Rice, grains, pasta
- Herbs and spices
- Snacks and chocolate
- Non-dairy milks
- Dried fruit, nuts and seeds
- Beans and pulses
- Toiletries and home goods
We also do weekly organic and local fruit and veg boxes which we sell at wholesale prices!
Opening Times
Check our Facebook page for opening times as they may vary, but we open on Wednesdays and Fridays. Join our mailing list to find out about upcoming socials and volunteer training events!
Get Involved
Excluding veg boxes, Scoop is open to all to buy from, not just members! You can also get involved by volunteering - come along to one of our training sessions to find out more. If that's not your thing, still feel free to join one of our socials!
