About Publishing Society (The Looking Glass Anthology)
The Looking Glass Anthology is the University of York’s first creative writing anthology. We take the best student fiction, ranging from poetry to drama, bundle it up in a beautiful book and sell copies both on campus and online. Every volume also sits proudly on the shelves of The British Library!
Meeting Times
Weekly Meetings on Tuesday at 6:30 in the F.R. Leavis Room
Get Involved
Putting together an anthology every year requires a joint effort of multiple tasks and so there are so many different ways you can get involved with The Looking Glass and you are more than welcome to get involved in more than one aspect of the society! Anyone is welcome to attend editorial meetings or assist with publicity and production.
Additionally, the anthology is made up of creative writing pieces from students at the University of York, so if you’re a creative writer submit your work to us for the chance to be published! We also take in design submissions for the front cover and inside illustrations of the anthology. We do not look for any specific theme and we welcome any medium be it photography, a painting or graphic art.
