With consistently over 110 members each year UYLC is one of the largest mixed clubs on campus, as well as one of the biggest lacrosse clubs in the country. We have two men's and two women's teams that compete regularly in BUCS. We also have various development squads who are growing in size and we are increasing how much mixed lacrosse we play.
We train three times a week in preparation for our regular Wednesday BUCS fixtures against rival universities. Our teams also compete in various tournaments throughout the year. Lacrosse is a very prominent sport at Roses, where we got the better of Lancaster last year across the three fixtures.
Off the pitch we are very inviting, tight-nit club, which hosts some of the largest and most exciting socials with a wide variety of themes. Every year UYLC also sets off on tour. Recent destinations have included Berlin, Budapest, Amsterdam and Prague. There is also a UYLC Ski Trip which sees some of the club’s members heading out to Val Thorens at Christmas.

Get Involved
UYLC is proud to host members of all playing abilities, from complete beginners to those that play at an international standard. That means Lacrosse really is open to you if you would like to give it a go.
If you are interested please contact us on one of our many social media channels or best yet, come along to one of our weekend training sessions where we will get you started with a stick!
Many members of the club love the sport we play, and the regular socials we offer. Most important are the strong friendships that are built every year, often ones that last outside university.
