About Group Fitness Society
University of York Group Fitness Society caters for all levels of fitness and with our range of classes we have something for everyone, so don't be afraid to come and try one out! If you feel you lack coordination, timing or are just starting out your fitness regime just keep bouncing and you'll get the hang of it soon enough!
As a fitness society we promote a balanced and healthy lifestyle, and see our classes as a great fun way to exercise and tone. Just make sure you get the right balance, and remember to eat energy promoting foods to ensure you have the bounce that we love to see in Group Fitness!

Get Involved
Our professionally trained student instructors offer a range of difficulty levels in all our classes so there's always something that fits your abilities and challenges you to improve!
Our membership is £7 for the year which then gives you access to all our classes for £1 a session, plus we do a Freshers Week discount of £5 membership until the end of week 3 so make sure you take advantage!
Non-members can come to any classes they wish for £2.50, and we frequently take part in Give It a Go events so be sure to come along and try Group Fitness Society out! :)
