About Caledonian Society
In York Caledonian Society you learn how to Scottish Reel (very similar to a Ceilidh). We run weekly practices where you learn the dances and hold two annual balls where you can show off the skills you have learnt. You also have the opportunity to go to other unis all around the country and attend their balls.

Scottish reeling is fairly active and so you have to be prepared to move, it is great excersise and lots of fun.
