Get involved...

The Women's Campaign are always looking for people to join them in raising awareness about gender inequality, so please don't be shy to volunteer yourself.  There are loads of ways you can get involved, from quick petition signing for the uber busy to becoming an Officer on the Committee for those with more time.  Have a browse below and see which of the options suits you.

  • Join the mailing list - this is the easiest way to keep up to speed with the campaigns we are running, the events we are hosting, and ways you can join in.  Sometimes we may also send you links to petitions for you to sign, so you can help us out and add your voice without even leaving your chair!  Just email womens@yusu.org to be added.   
  • Come to meetings - the Women's Committee meet every Wednesday at 6pm in L/049. We plan future campaigns, respond to any gender related issues that have arisen during the week, and eat biscuits.  The meetings are open, so if you have an interest just come along and see us any time!
  • Join the facebook group - this is called 'YUSU Women's Committee'.  This is another way to keep up with what is going on, and here you can add your own contributions and suggestions.  Feel free to post links to websites and events if you have found something interesting - the more people who join the group and contribute, the better it will be!
  • Email us - if you have a specific question or suggestion then just send us an email to womens@yusu.org.  We love hearing from people (no, genuinely, it makes our day!) and always aim to respond as quickly as possible.
